Welcome to the website of David E. Read.

   With a Bachelor's Degree in Professional Development from Amberton University, Mr. Read has worked in the television and film business for the past 20 years.  During those early years, he worked as a Writer,  Assistant Director, Floor Director, Location Scout, and Grip.
   Mr. Read has written several Star Trek novels as well as numerous short stories, short scripts, and screenplays.  During this same time he has worked as a Professional Clinical Hypnotherapist, which has given him a particular insight into human nature, which is evident in his writings.  He is also the co-owner of Trielle Entertainment, LLC, a production/funding company for Independent Films being shot in the North Texas area.

   Memberships include TAFTP and Dallas Screenwriters Association.
   Mr. Read received an Honorable Discharge from the United Stated Air Force in 1974 for his service during the Vietnam War.
